Byrdstown, TN GO Rating Raised To 'A+' On Budgetary Flexibility And Improved Employment

CENTENNIAL (S&P Global Ratings) Aug. 23, 2019--S&P Global Ratings raised its long-term rating to 'A+' from 'A' on Byrdstown, Tenn.'s general obligation bonds outstanding. The outlook is stable.
"The rating action reflects our view of the town's maintenance of very strong budgetary flexibility, combined with material improvement in the unemployment rate," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Coral Schoonejans.
The stable outlook reflects our expectation that Byrdstown will maintain very strong reserves and liquidity by means of stable budgetary performance.
