Parker Water And Sanitation District, CO GO Refunding Bond Rating Raised To 'AA+' On Considerable Tax Base Growth

SAN FRANCISCO (S&P Global Ratings) Sept. 10, 2019--S&P Global Ratings raised its rating to 'AA+' from 'AA' on Parker Water and Sanitation District, Colo.'s series 2012 general obligation (GO) refunding bonds. The outlook is stable.
"The raised rating reflects our view of the considerable improvement across all aspects of the credit," said S&P Global Ratings credit analyst Jenny Poree. "The district has exhibited considerable growth in the tax base, which has nearly doubled in value over the past five years," Ms. Poree added.
Founded in 1962, the district owns and operates a water and sanitary sewer system that serves an estimated population of nearly 53,000 in Douglas County.
