Foxconn Sees AI as Key Driver of Server Demand in 2023

Foxconn Technology Group, the world's largest contract electronics manufacturer, said on Wednesday that it expects strong demand for servers driven by artificial intelligence (AI) applications in the second half of 2023. However, the company said that it expects full-year revenue to be flat compared to 2022.

Foxconn Chairman Young Liu said that the company has seen strong demand for servers from cloud computing and data center customers in the first half of 2023. He said that this demand is being driven by the increasing adoption of AI applications in these industries.

Liu said that Foxconn is expecting the demand for servers to continue to grow in the second half of 2023. He said that the company is working with its customers to develop new server products that are specifically designed for AI applications.

However, Liu said that Foxconn is expecting full-year revenue to be flat compared to 2022. He said that this is due to a number of factors, including the ongoing global chip shortage and the war in Ukraine.

Despite the challenges, Liu said that he is confident that Foxconn will be able to meet the demand for servers in 2023. He said that the company has a strong track record of innovation and is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for AI-driven servers.
