Target issued a recall for five million candles after receiving reports of injuries. The recall was prompted by six customers who experienced severe burns and lacerations due to cracked glass jars.
According to a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Target received 137 reports of jar faults related to the candles.
The recall specifically applies to Threshold-branded glass jar candles sold in different sizes and scents, such as water mint and eucalyptus, apple blossom and breeze, and warm cider and cinnamon, among others. Consumers who have purchased these recalled Threshold products are advised to discontinue their use immediately, as stated in the notice released on Thursday.
